Synergy Architectural Solutions is a Devon-based practice set up to take advantage of the combined knowledge and experience of Kevin Shotter and Nigel White.
We offer a full range of architectural services from large housing developments, one-off houses, extensions and conversions to mixed-use schemes, commercial developments and renovations.
We can tailor our services to meet the project requirements, although our skills are particularly suited to small and medium house builders where we can offer all the advantages of an in-house design team without any of the associated overheads. |

Kevin Shotter
Kevin is an experienced architect having worked in a number of practices in Devon. He has also had his own practice before setting up Synergy Architectural Solutions. He spent a number of years as Planning and Technical Director for Millwood Homes (Devon) Ltd, where he was responsible for taking development schemes from concept to completion. He has recently renovated his own 1970's house with external insulation and cladding, an air source heat pump and underfloor heating, solar PV panels and MVHR.
Kevin specialises in planning and design, from initial sketch proposals to full planning consent. He can help guide clients through the intricacies of the planning system, including advising on and coordinating with other external consultants on subjects like wildlife, ecology, landscaping, archaeology, highways and drainage. |
Nigel White
Nigel started with a qualification in Rural Estate Management but quickly became involved in building, working on site for local builders. After gaining another qualification in construction he started working as an architectural technician for larger house builders and joined the Chartered Institute of Building. He became an On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor when SAP calculations were first introduced under the Building Regulations. He has worked with a number of regional and national house builders before setting up Synergy Architectural Solutions with Kevin.
Nigel uses his site experience to produce working drawings and details that will show compliance with the Building Regulations, including producing SAP calculations and EPC's for new dwellings. He is very knowledgable on renewable energy systems and sustainable building techniques.
